Elmer Vetter was a Northern Pacific Railroad engineer who was killed when his train came around a curve and on to a bridge that was on fire.

Scope and content
The Elmer Vetter Collection amalgamates a news article on a 1915 railroad accident, a binder of photographs of a 1913 trip to the east coast of the United States, a binder of postcards and photographs, a box of Vetter family photographs and letters and railroad booklets, and an envelope of stock certificates and other financial documents.
