Northern Pacific passenger train number 2, the eastbound Mainstreeter, stopped beneath the signal gantry at the station at Thompson Falls, Montana, in July 1968. Two-unit diesel locomotive led by unit number 6703C leads the seven-car train made up of baggage car, coaches, cafeteria car, sleeping car, and business car for company officials.
